Step 2 - Choose Your Options
No matter the Sling model, Custom Aircraft Builders is here to walk you through the whole process of ordering your new plane. There are some decisions that need to be made during the kit ordering process and others that can wait until later.
Order time decisions:
- Standard or Quickbuild kit – CAB prefers to build from the standard kit.
- Parachute, parachute cables only, or no chute.
- Interior (see below) – Sling interiors are typically ordered when the kit is ordered, CAB custom interiors can be ordered later.
- Hand brake or toe brakes – The toe brakes are recommended for their effectiveness, weight, and simplicity.
- Prop – The Airmaster electric prop needs to be ordered with the kit. The MT hydraulic prop can be ordered later.
Later decisions:
- Paint colors and scheme
- Avionics
- Engine – CAB sources our Rotax engines from a US vendor and can be purchased about mid-way through the build.
